When you arrive at my Placentia office, you're welcome to take a seat in the comfortable waiting area, and I'll greet you at our exact appointment time. During our first session, we'll focus on understanding your story, identifying the patterns holding you back, and defining clear goals. For optimal momentum, I typically recommend meeting weekly for the first four weeks of care.

Not at all. You don't need to know which therapeutic model fits best before reaching out. Drawing on over 29 years of clinical experience, I integrate techniques from Emotionally Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method, Psychodynamic, and EMDRIA-trained trauma approaches based on your unique needs. We'll collaborate on a personalized treatment plan together.

While some clients find clarity and actionable relief within 3 to 6 months of focused work, others choose longer-term therapy to foster deeper personal growth and ongoing relational support. We'll regularly review your progress together.

Yes. I work with people across the full spectrum of their relationship with faith, including those actively deconstructing, questioning long-held beliefs, healing from religious trauma or church hurt, or simply figuring out what faith means to them now. There's no requirement to have it figured out before you reach out.

Codependency often looks like prioritizing everyone else's needs and emotions ahead of your own, struggling to set boundaries, or feeling responsible for other people's happiness and stability. An LMFT is a licensed mental health professional trained specifically in relational and systemic therapy, meaning I'm trained to understand not just individual struggles, but how relationships, family dynamics, and patterns between people shape what you're experiencing. This training applies whether I'm working with an individual, a couple, or a family.
